چکیده

Super-duplex stainless steel (SDSS) shows high mechanical and corrosion resistance because of the balanced structure austenite ferrite. However, maintaining this phase ratio after welding is a challenge. The use stabilizing components recommended to balance microstructure. addition alloying elements presents challenge characteristics Nd:YAG pulsed laser welding. An approach, which has proven be effective, metal electroplating prepare surfaces SDSS that will welded, therefore promoting in fusion zone. While effects metals such as nickel an stabilizer are well recognized, cobalt’s require more research. present work investigated influence cobalt joining process by preliminary on UNS S32750 Nd: YAG welding, specifically regarding microstructure microhardness. Three conditions were investigated, changing thickness deposited layer. modified morphology increased volume fraction austenite. around 48% was obtained using 35 ?m thick coating. microhardness affected austenite/ferrite proportions. dropped from about 375 HV 345 layer’s rose, being similar base metal. effect observed, technique effective correct

The effect of surface roughness on 1050 aluminum alloy weld profile welded by pulsed Nd:YAG laser

Surface roughness in the welding processes is one of the important parameters in the laser welded metal connections which affects laser beam absorption directly. When the laser beam is irradiated to the surface of the base metal, the surface roughness plays an important role in the amount of beam absorption and the amount of melting achieved and directly affects the penetration depth. The main ...

Analysis of Cracks in the Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser Welded Joint of Nickel-Based Superalloy

The weldability of GTD-111 nickel-based superalloy by pulsed Nd:YAG laser welding with an average power of 250 W was studied, and the microstructural evolution and cracking characteristics were also investigated. The solidification cracking of the fusion zone (FZ) and the intergranular liquation cracking in the heat affected zone (HAZ) were observed in the joint. Solidification cracking was cau...

Though all these lasers would have some effect on melanin, three wavelength bands are most useful for treating pigmented lesions – green, red, and infrared.[1] Its not only about the wavelength, it is more about the right pulse duration and at sufficient fluence. Since green and blue light lasers are long pulsed continuous waves, they cause a ...
